Welcome to We Write for Rights!

Who are we?

All contributions found here are made by undergraduate students of journalism from St. Augustine University of Tanzania, also known as SAUT.

What do we do?

Our goal is to engage, discuss and reflect on issues of human rights found in a local, national and international context. As young journalists, we believe that it is our responsibility to represent these voices where they are silenced or overlooked. We hope that by developing our capacity to report on issues of human rights that we will be able to make everyone fully aware of their rights, start important conversations in society and inspire positive change in our country.

Please feel free to join in on our journey to a better world.

This initiative was developed through a mentorship program with Canada’s leading media development organization, Journalists for Human Rights
